Call it trend or fashion craze but more and more people look for ways to lose weight fast. Everybody wants to strip the fat away quickly as if it was some apparel item you can take off whenever you like. Well, things are not that easy, and unfortunately few people show interest in what happens to the body when going through a very intense weight loss program.
Health impairment is possible with significant consequences on daily life and overall activities. Here are a few suggestions or words of advice against the ‘efficient’ methods to lose weight fast. I’ll take only three examples of intense dieting and show you why their approach is wrong.
Crash diets which equal starvation are the most common, yet the worst approach to overweight; they make false ways to lose weight fast. You’ll be delighted that during the first few days of the diet you’ll see results: two, three or even more pounds will melt away. Then, stop! No more serious weight loss, even if you continue to nibble at food!
The trick is that the metabolism operates an adjustment to the very small food portions you are feeding the body so as to preserve energy, and fat burning will stagnate. Moreover, the moment you’ll start eating more heartily, you’ll go to the other extreme, with the metabolism triggering a weight pile up in order to compensate for the starvation period. It’s something like: eat while you can!
Calorie counting or low-calorie foods are also advertised as efficient methods to lose weight fast. Unfortunately, most people get tired of counting the calories every day and feel disappointed and ready to give up after a while. Plus, some of the low-calorie foods are not exactly adequate for weight loss despite the manufacturers’ claims.
Last but not least, appetite suppressants are also believed to help one lose weight fast. You no longer feel hunger, hence you don’t eat and without food, you will start losing weight. This is the way things are planned to work, but reality is a bit different. Appetite suppressants are not meant to replace meals, because no body system can operate without nutrients.
Feeling no hunger is another form of starvation with very serious consequences for the overall health condition. Without food you will first experience weakness, then dizziness, inability to concentrate and deal with daily tasks, and even anemia if things are pushed further on. Therefore, choose natural weight loss solutions over methods to lose weight fast.
